We at Royal Doors join with the universal Church in mourning the loss of Pope Francis. As the official statement of the Archeparchy of Winnipeg stated: “The official announcement from the Vatican, conveyed by His Eminence Cardinal Kevin Farrell, Camerlengo of the Holy Roman Church, shared the sad news and highlighted the Holy Father’s dedication to the service of the Lord and His Church, and his powerful witness to the values of the Gospel, particularly his love for the poorest and most marginalized.”
There is an official nine-day mourning period. During this time, we invite our readers, in the glory and joy of the Resurrection, to offer their prayers for the blessed repose of the soul of Pope Francis. In our Lord’s great mercy, may he be welcomed into the everlasting life!
